Beginning Treatment at Insight Psychology

Beginning treatment at Insight Psychology follows a clear and organized process designed to make starting therapy straightforward and predictable.

Below is an overview of what you can expect when initiating psychotherapy with the practice.

1. Initial Contact

You may contact the practice directly or schedule an appointment using the scheduling link. If you plan to use insurance or out-of-network benefits, you may submit your insurance information through the secure client portal so Insight Psychology can review your behavioral health benefits.

2. Client Portal & Intake Paperwork

After scheduling, you will receive an invitation to the secure Insight Psychology Client Portal. The portal is used to complete intake documents, upload insurance information if applicable, and manage appointments. All required paperwork must be completed prior to the first session.

3. Diagnostic Intake Session

The first appointment is a diagnostic intake session. This session involves a comprehensive clinical assessment to understand your current concerns, relevant history, and treatment goals. Information gathered during this session informs the development of a targeted treatment plan.

4. Ongoing Sessions

Sessions are scheduled directly through the practice and are typically held weekly. Sessions are active and structured. When needed, additional sessions can be scheduled through the client portal, such as during periods of increased stress or unexpected circumstances.

5. Review of Treatment Progress

Progress toward treatment goals is reviewed regularly, and the treatment plan is adjusted when appropriate based on measurable outcomes, progress, and clinical judgment.
